JOB DESCRIPTION – MARKET ASSISTANT

Position Title: Market Assistant

Employment Type: Part-Time to Full-Time

Position Summary:

The Market Assistant supports the daily operations of the Mobile Food Market, including market setup and teardown, warehouse support, customer and partner interactions, and general operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with preparation for, setup of and teardown of mobile market sites.
Support loading and unloading of products and equipment.
Help with basic warehouse organization and inventory tasks.
Support delivery and logistics operations as required.
Work alongside staff and volunteers during market operations
Assist in customer service and community interactions at market sites
Follow instructions from supervisors and trained staff
Participate in training and learning opportunities related to market operations
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Follow all safety procedures and workplace guidelines
Other duties as assigned

Work Expectations:

Follow all organizational policies and procedures
Work respectfully with staff, volunteers, and community partners
Maintain confidentiality of any sensitive information
Be punctual, reliable, and willing to learn
Work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment
Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
Ability to work in varying weather conditions

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 37.5 per week

Work Location: In person
