We are seeking a vibrant, enthusiastic and dedicated individual, who will work 2 to 3 days per week assisting the Accountant with a busy hotel finance department. If you are able to excel with little supervision, able to take initiative and use sound independent judgement, you may be just the person we are looking for.

Skills & Qualifications

Certificate or diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Business Administration preferred.
1–3 years of accounting experience.
Knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, or similar).
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Description

Assist in payroll
Track employee vacation and sick days plus schedules
Assist in managing Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables by depositing cheques and preparing invoices.
Use computer software to manage reports and track financial data
Prepare documents for the company Accountant and Internal Auditors
Compile data for income tax returns
Assist with reconciling bank transactions, complete deposits, or issues cheques
All other duties as required

Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 24.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Victoria, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Accounting: 2 years (preferred)

Work Location: In person
