Medical Office Assistant / Phlebotomist

Danton Medical Centre is seeking a compassionate, professional, and motivated Medical Office Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our growing healthcare team. This role combines administrative and clinical responsibilities and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care every day. Ideal candidate near Oakville, Mississauga or Burlington.

Responsibilities

Welcome and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
Answer phones, respond to patient inquiries, and manage clinic communications.
Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments.
Register patients and maintain accurate records in Accuro EMR.
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
Obtain and document vital signs, including height, weight, blood pressure, and blood glucose levels.
Perform venipuncture and specimen collection safely and accurately.
Label and process specimens according to laboratory standards.
Support physicians and healthcare providers with administrative and clinical tasks.
Maintain examination rooms, ensure adequate supplies, and follow infection prevention and privacy standards.

Qualifications

Phlebotomy certification from a Canadian-accredited institution (required).
Previous experience in a medical office, clinic, or healthcare setting preferred.
Experience with Accuro EMR is an asset.
Strong organizational, communication, and computer skills.
Professional, reliable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused.
