Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Math and Physics Tutor to inspire students and help them achieve their academic goals. In this role, you will deliver engaging, personalized tutoring sessions that clarify complex concepts in mathematics and physics, fostering confidence and enthusiasm for learning. The ideal candidate is dedicated, patient, and possesses a strong background in both subjects, with experience working with children or students of diverse learning needs. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational journeys while honing your teaching skills.

Duties

Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in math and physics, tailoring lessons to meet individual student needs and learning styles
Develop customized lesson plans that simplify challenging topics and promote active understanding
Use educational technology and computer skills to enhance lesson delivery and student engagement
Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies accordingly
Support students with special education needs by adapting methods to accommodate diverse learning requirements
Foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages curiosity and perseverance in STEM subjects
Collaborate with parents, teachers, or school staff to align tutoring goals with academic curricula

Experience

Prior experience working with children or students in an educational setting is highly preferred
Demonstrated tutoring experience in math, physics, or related STEM fields
Classroom experience or familiarity with teaching methodologies enhances effectiveness
Knowledge of computer science and proficiency with educational software or online platforms is advantageous
Strong understanding of math concepts from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus and physics principles from classical mechanics to modern theories
