About the Position:
Working under the supervision of the Manager, Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, recruiting and hiring top talent for our organization. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying and engaging candidates, as well as a strong understanding of recruitment strategies and best practices.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates
- Utilize various sourcing techniques (e.g. social media, job boards, networking, career fairs, etc.) to identify potential candidates
- Review resume and applications to screen candidates for open positions
- Conduct phone and video interviews to assess candidates’ qualifications and fit.
- Coordinate and facilitate interview process with hiring managers and teams
- Build and maintain a network of potential candidates for future job openings
- Partner with hiring mangers to understand staffing needs and requirements for each department
- Promote employer brand to attract and retain top talent
- Develop compelling job posting and marketing materials to showcase our organization
- Extend job offers to select candidates and negotiate employment terms
- Coordinate the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Conduct reference and background checks as required for potential hires.
- Prepare, analyze and maintain various HR reports, measures and statics (i.e. vacancy reports, attrition reports, etc.)
- Collaborate in the development and implementation of corporate policies
- Participate and lead bi-monthly health and safety meetings
- Complete ad-hoc tasks and projects to contribute to the Human Resources Department.
- The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also be assigned other duties as required from time to time.
Job Requirements:
- College diploma or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or HR roles
- Previous experience with healthcare recruitment is an asset
- Proven track record of successfully recruiting for various positions and industries
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other HR software’s
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Strategic thinker with a proactive and results-driven approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
