An established consumer packaged goods company is seeking an experienced Brand Manager to join its Canadian marketing team for a 90-day term to provide leave coverage. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on marketing professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can quickly step into an active business to drive projects forward.
In this role, you'll lead and support a variety of strategic and executional marketing initiatives, including product commercialization, packaging development, integrated marketing campaigns, retail activation, and eCommerce content optimization. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and agency partners to ensure business continuity and successful execution of key marketing priorities across the Canadian market.

As the interim Brand Manager, you will:
Lead Marketing Execution
- Provide day-to-day marketing leadership during a temporary leave coverage period.
- Manage marketing priorities, timelines, meetings, and cross-functional communications.
- Partner with commercial leadership to ensure product launches, campaigns, and customer initiatives remain on track.
- Identify project risks, proactively solve challenges, and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
Drive Product Commercialization
- Support the launch of new products, line extensions, packaging updates, and retailer-specific initiatives for the Canadian market.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities related to product readiness, packaging, claims, sales materials, and launch execution.
- Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Legal, R&D, Finance, and agency partners to deliver successful product launches.
- Track project milestones, approvals, timelines, and deliverables.
Manage Packaging & Artwork Development
- Lead artwork development and packaging updates, including bilingual English/French requirements.
- Coordinate artwork reviews with internal stakeholders, regulatory teams, and external design partners.
- Ensure packaging meets brand standards, regulatory requirements, retailer expectations, and market-specific needs.
- Oversee artwork approvals, version control, and production timelines.
Execute Marketing Campaigns
- Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
- Develop campaign briefs and coordinate the creation of retail, shopper marketing, digital, and sales support materials.
- Adapt regional or global marketing assets for the Canadian market.
- Ensure creative assets are delivered on time and aligned with brand objectives.
Support eCommerce Growth
- Optimize online product content across Canadian retail partners.
- Manage product detail pages, enhanced content, imagery, digital assets, and brand stores.
- Collaborate with internal teams and retailers to improve the online customer experience and digital shelf performance.
- Support content syndication and retailer-specific eCommerce requirements.
Collaborate Across the Business
- Serve as a key marketing contact for Canadian initiatives.
- Partner with Sales, Category Management, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory, Legal, Creative, eCommerce, and external agencies.
- Facilitate meetings, manage action items, and keep projects moving efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Commerce, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in brand marketing, commercial marketing, or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG).
- Previous experience as a Brand Manager or in a comparable marketing leadership role.
- Experience managing product commercialization, packaging development, campaign execution, and retail marketing initiatives.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external agency partners.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to quickly understand business priorities and contribute with minimal onboarding.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience in home care, household products, personal care, or other regulated consumer goods categories.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian retail and consumer landscape.
- Experience managing bilingual English/French packaging and marketing materials.
- Knowledge of eCommerce content management, digital shelf optimization, and retailer content requirements.
- Experience working with Canadian retailers and retail media platforms.
- Familiarity with stage-gate commercialization processes, SKU launches, and artwork approval workflows.
