The Role:
Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day execution of HR functions, payroll administration, benefits and RRSP programs. This role acts as a critical operational backbone for the HR function, ensuring accurate payroll processing, consistent employee support, compliance with policies and legislation, and proactive engagement with employees through regular workplace presence, including daily floor walks. The HR Coordinator plays both an administrative and employee-facing role, balancing transactional accuracy with responsive people support.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding
- Support full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, and offer preparation.
- Maintain candidate tracking systems and recruitment records.
- Support the administration of quarterly and annual employee performance reviews and 30-60-90 reviews for new hires.
- Support hiring managers in scheduling, documentation, and recruitment administration.
HR Administration and Compliance
- Organize/maintain physical & EE personnel records and update HRIS and payroll system accurately.
- Regularly keep accurate excel dashboard on new hires, leaves, permit and SIN expiry dates, etc. with follow up and follow through on reminders.
- Administer the offboarding process from an HR perspective.
- Support development HR policies (and JDs) and procedures and its administration.
- Monitors and tracks compliance related to i.e., training and professional licenses.
- Prepare and administer various HR related documents.
- Point of contact for employees regarding policies, pay, benefits, and all HR matters.
- Support the coordination and administration of training and development initiatives.
- Support the compliance of employment and labour legislation.
- Analyze data to maintain/report HR metrics through presentations (i.e. turnover).
- Supports disciplinary meetings and investigations as required.
- Act as an Ambassador for HR programs, provides timely responses on all HR-related matters, and assists in promoting and sustaining the desired culture.
- Supports the creation and delivery of new perks, benefits & team building activities.
Payroll and Benefits
- Administer end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with applicable legislation and company policies.
- Maintain and validate employee payroll data, including hours worked (by connecting with managers. Supervisors, leads), overtime, deductions, and adjustments.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee communication.
- Support RRSP/DPSP administration, including eligibility tracking, employee enrollment, contribution updates, and vendor coordination.
- Act as a liaison between employees and benefits/RRSP providers.
- Ensure accurate documentation and system updates related to employee benefits and retirement programs.
Other Duties
- Practices and administers health and safety initiatives and guidelines.
- Arrange travel accommodations and process expense forms.
- Travel to various locations when needed to support HR initiatives.
- Participate in HR projects.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of HR and HR Business Partner.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree/diploma in Human Resources or related fields;
- 2 to 3 years experience working in Human Resources;
- Thorough knowledge of labour laws;
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel and web-based software programs;
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team;
- Ability to ensure quality of work and attention to detail;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Maintaining confidentiality;
- Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important tasks and projects;
- Able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
Compensation:
Annual compensation of $55,000.00 to $65,000.00 per year depending on experience.
Location:
This is a fully on-site role currently working at the 190 Statesman Dr, Mississauga, ON L5S1X7 location. The incumbent may however be required to work at any place of business which the company and its sister group of companies has or may acquire in future.
