Job Summary

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Prep Cook, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work environment, preparing ingredients for cooking, and supporting the culinary staff with food handling and basic meal preparation. Your dedication ensures that our kitchen operates seamlessly, delivering high-quality food service experiences to our guests every day. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced restaurant setting while contributing to a vibrant team.

Responsibilities

Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, assembling ingredients, and portioning supplies.
Support the kitchen team by ensuring all food handling procedures meet health regulations and safety guidelines.
Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including prep stations, storage rooms, and dishwashing zones.
Help with meal preparation during busy service times by following recipes and portioning ingredients accurately.
Restock supplies and ensure that all necessary items are readily available for cooks and servers.
Follow proper food safety protocols at all times to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is highly desirable.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with energy and enthusiasm.
Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and a proactive attitude toward cleanliness and safety.
Basic cooking skills or experience with meal preparation are a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout your shift.
