About the Role
The Production Worker supports daily manufacturing operations by assisting with food preparation, operating production equipment, maintaining cleanliness, and completing required documentation. This role works closely with Team Leaders to meet production targets while ensuring compliance with food safety, quality, and sanitation standards. This is for an open position.
Full Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Assist in the preparation and production of Mad Mexican salsas, tortilla chips, corn tortillas, and flour tortillas and other products
- Handle food in accordance with the Food Safety Manual and HACCP requirements
- Feed ingredients into production machinery as instructed
- Operate production equipment and tools safely and effectively
- Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
- Wash, store, and organize raw materials and finished goods as required
- Meet daily and weekly production targets assigned by the Team Leader
- Report equipment malfunctions, mechanical issues, or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain workstation cleanliness and sanitation; assist with scheduled deep-cleaning tasks
- Accurately complete production records and documentation generated at the workstation
- Ensure all production activities comply with GMP, SQF, and food manufacturing standards
- Perform additional operational tasks as required to support smooth production flow
What you will bring:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
- Willingness to work assigned shifts and adapt to production needs
- Previous cleaning, sanitation, or food production experience is an asset
- Ability to work in a hot environment (machine operates at 180 degrees)
- Attention to detail and quality awareness
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions (SOPs)
- Teamwork and collaboration skills

- Dependable, punctual, and reliable
Schedule and Compensation:
- Job Type: Full-Time, In-Person
- Location: 64 Crockford Boulevard, Scarborough, ON, M1R 3C3
- Start Rate: $18.50 – $19.50 per hour, with opportunity for increases based on performance
- Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
- Shifts: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Schedule: Monday to Thursday; occasional Friday shifts based on operational needs
- Shift assignment determined by production requirements
