Full job description

We are looking for a super positive, high-energy, and passionate, health and fitness-focused individual to join our team of coaches at Auburn Bay Fit Body Boot Camp.

This position is Part-Time (20-30 hours/week)

We are willing to hire multiple part time or 1 full-time person for the right people. The people matter more to us than the specific days and hours.

Coaching shifts would include:

Monday 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Tuesday 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Thursday 4:00pm - 8:00pm
Either Friday or Wednesday 4:30am - 12:30pm
Every second Saturday 7:30am - 12:00pm

We are NOT looking for someone:

who takes shirtless selfies in the mirror and posts them to IG for "motivation"
coaches like a drill sergeant leading a bunch of Navy Seals throughout hell week
thinks that all of their clients need to deadlift 400 lbs or do a bikini competition
has a master's in kinesiology but doesn't know how to make a client feel heard, seen, and cared for
expects an easy job. (aka. just wants to just show up, coach a session, and go home)
only wants to coach a class but never do any other work (some administrative work, programming, texting clients, etc.)
Does not believe in a macro-based nutrition program

Our company is on a mission to change the fitness world and be daymakers in all of our client's lives.

Our coaches are the foundation of what we do. They play a fundamental role within the team and company culture as they lead our sessions and work closely with each client to provide the ultimate fitness experience.

Responsibilities:

Coach large group sessions for our Boot Camp and Seniors Program
Attend quarterly team development trainings (they rotate between being held in Calgary and Lethbridge).
Optional: Coach Small Gorup Personal Training sessions
Optional: Coach special sessions of your own design (1-2/month)

Experience, skills and requirements:

Must have open availability to coach any of our session blocks
Applicants must have a nationally recognized fitness certification (such as: ACE, NASM, ACSM, ect.)
Applicant must have an active CPR certification or ability to get one before starting
Exceptionally personable
Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence
Experience or high-level understanding of excellent client service
Enjoys working with a team on one common mission
Ability to prioritize and meet goals in a fast-paced and changing environment
Has a personal computer

Job Overview:

Starting Salary: $25.00/hour
2 Weeks of Paid Vacation

We are trying to change the fitness industry and provide a workplace for passionate coaches to build a career. You can expect.

No split shifts (early morning & evening)
2 Weekends off each month
Closed on all STAT holidays
Maximum of 1 "Clopen" (Close the facility one night and then open the next morning) limited to 1 per week

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
