Exciting Opportunity for a Permanent, Long-Term Employment: Veterinary Technician Assistant (VTA) at Pioneer Veterinary Services in Olds, Alberta!

Pioneer Veterinary Services is growing and looking to add a long-term Veterinary Technician Assistant to our Olds location.

At Pioneer Veterinary Services, we pride ourselves on maintaining a strong presence in our communities by providing high-quality veterinary medicine with a personalized and compassionate approach. We foster a culture of open communication, ensuring a strong and positive work environment. Our mixed animal clinics cater to both large and small animals, treating each one as the unique individual they are.

Our ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, have strong positive communication skills, excel in customer service and have high-quality patient care. The candidate must also be technically skilled and comfortable working with large and small animal services.

Key Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following;

Providing quality patient care
Assisting technologists and veterinarians
Replenishing supplies
Maintaining cleanliness in treatment areas
Preparing and sanitizing the surgical suite
Assisting clients and performing reception duties
Handling clerical tasks
Conducting nail trims
Sterilizing and wrapping packs

Qualifications:

Veterinary Technologist Assistant Certificate is preferred.
Comfortable working in a mixed animal setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
Strong organizational abilities and keen attention to detail
Must be able to handle stressful situations with professionalism and compassion
Proficient in using computer systems and veterinary software
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
