Full job description

Higher Ground Health Club is looking for 2 great Personal Trainers to work with preferred clients as a personal trainer. Secondary roles as a Wellness Assessor or Boxing/Kickboxing Coach is also available. The Wellness Assessor will be meeting clinic patients and council them on how to use exercise to support their health goals. The boxing/Kickboxing coach would be leading a thriving group of fitness enthusiasts who like to hit things!

Who are we?

Higher Ground was founded in May 2022. Our concept is to integrate sport medicine with a fully built fitness centre. We are here to create Canada's BEST movement as medicine centre: a true HEALTH CLUB. We have a beautiful 40,000 sq ft facility at the corner of Yonge and College in downtown Toronto. Our Clinic boasts Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage, and our very own Sport Medicine Physician. The Fitness floor has a turf area, countless cardio pieces, a massive weight room and three separate studios. And if you just want to catch your breath we have a sauna, a steam room, a lounge and a cafe to get a coffee or a smoothie.

The Job:

Retain a stable of preferred personal training clients, and train with a macro and micro plan
As Wellness Assessor- Perform introductions and assessments to new members and new Patients in the Clinic.
As a Boxing/Kickboxing Coach- to teach a "Fit4Fight" class where fitness would meet martial arts in a fun, dynamic, learning environment.
Our hope is that we 'll be able to get you 20 plus active clients that you can manage, work with, and see succeed. The business is growing briskly so we expect the right candidate to fill up fast.

The ideal Candidate:

Has at least 1 year of industry experience training clients
Has at least a college diploma or degree in a related field
Has either a sport background, lots of experience as a commercial personal trainer, or a boxing/martial arts background.

Requirements (don't apply unless this is you)

Must be able to get to the Yonge/College area consistently within 40mins without the use of a car.
Must either have a post secondary diploma in a fitness/health related field or you have a Personal Training certificate or both.
Must be available to work 5 days a week.
Must be a great communicator in English.

Compensation:

Starting rate: $30-$60/hr depending on experience, education, and client retention.

Commissions may be added with experience and good results.
