Gymnastics Coach (JamFit Energy Studio)

Location: Gloucester / St. Laurent Area (Coming Soon)
Position Type: Part-Time
Reports To: Head Coach/Owner

About JamFit

JamFit Energy Studio is a growing fitness and jamnastics facility dedicated to helping children develop confidence, strength, coordination, and a lifelong love for movement. With multiple locations across Ottawa, we provide high-quality recreational and competitive programs in a positive, energetic, and supportive environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Jamnastics Coach to join our team at our new Gloucester/St. Laurent location. The ideal candidate is passionate about working with children, creating engaging lesson plans, and helping athletes progress safely while having fun.

Responsibilities

Lead and instruct recreational jamnastics classes for children of various ages and skill levels.
Create a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment.
Teach fundamental and progressive jamnastics skills on floor, bars, beam, vault, and specialty equipment.
Ensure participant safety and adherence to JamFit policies and procedures.
Provide constructive feedback to athletes and communicate progress with parents when required.
Assist with camps, special events, birthday parties, and workshops.
Set up and take down equipment before and after classes.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.
Attend staff meetings and ongoing training sessions.

Qualifications

Experience coaching gymnastics/jamnastics, cheerleading, dance, acrobatics, or a related sport.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Passion for working with children and youth.
Ability to motivate athletes while maintaining a fun atmosphere.
Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
NCCP, Gymnastics Foundations, or equivalent certifications are considered an asset.
Must be reliable, professional, and team-oriented.
