Full job description

Job Summary
Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Housekeeping Room Attendant! In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, comfort, and overall appearance of guest rooms and public areas. Your attention to detail and dedication will ensure our guests enjoy a pristine environment that exceeds expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. Whether you're passionate about cleaning, floor care, or providing outstanding service, this role provides a platform to showcase your skills and grow within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas, ensuring all surfaces are spotless.
Launder linens and towels as needed, adhering to hotel standards for cleanliness and presentation.
Replace used amenities with fresh supplies, including toiletries and other guest necessities.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department promptly.
Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness in public areas of the hotel, such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
Follow established procedures for cleaning rooms efficiently while respecting guests' privacy.
Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless experience for guests.

Requirements

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality standards in cleaning.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to clean 14-16 rooms within the 8 hour period
Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated time frames.
Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
Must be able to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines while using cleaning supplies and equipment.

Please note that we are not sponsoring LMIA for this position.***You will be required to provide a police clearance report at the time of hire***

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

Kingston, ON K7K 7E6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
