Builder Appliance Sales Representative

Our reputation has been built on strong relationships, quality products, and making the appliance buying experience as seamless as possible for our customers.

What's the Role?

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Builder Appliance Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with existing builder customers throughout the Ottawa region.

You will work closely with builders, developers, contractors, and our internal team to deliver an exceptional customer experience from the initial conversation through project completion.

This is a relationship-driven sales role that combines business development, account management, and project coordination. Success is built on professionalism, trust, and helping customers find the right appliance solutions for each customer's unique project.

Your Responsibilities

Business Development

Prospect and develop new builder relationships throughout the Ottawa region.
Identify and pursue new construction and renovation opportunities.
Generate leads through networking, referrals, trade shows, and industry events.
Grow appliance sales within both new and existing builder accounts.

Customer Relationship Management

Build strong, long-term relationships with builders, developers, and contractors.
Deliver an exceptional customer experience during every interaction.
Understand each customer's business and recommend appliance solutions that best meet their needs.
Set clear expectations regarding delivery, installation, invoicing, and project timelines.

Sales & Project Coordination

Prepare professional quotations for builder projects.
Coordinate bids and tender submissions.
Negotiate project contracts.
Create project charters for new builder projects.
Work closely with the Builder Project Specialist to ensure projects are completed smoothly.
Support customers throughout each phase of their projects.

Sales Planning & Reporting

Maintain accurate customer information within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Track leads, opportunities, quotations, and project activity.
Prepare sales forecasts and reports as requested.
Stay current on appliance products, industry trends, and market developments.

Company Representation

Attend industry networking events and trade shows.
Represent Keyesbury professionally within the builder community.
Support the builder showroom as required.
Assist in maintaining a professional showroom presentation.

Qualifications

Three to five years of professional sales experience.
Proven track record of achieving sales results.
Experience within the residential construction or home builder industry is considered an asset.
An existing network of builder, contractor, or developer contacts is considered an asset.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 is considered an asset.
