Crossroads Restaurant – Culinary Team Hiring (2026 Season) - Seasonal & Year-Round Full-Time
Crossroads Restaurant is currently hiring experienced chefs and cooks for the 2026 season. We have multiple kitchen positions available and are seeking serious applicants with relevant culinary experience. Starting wage is $24 per hour, with competitive compensation based on experience.
Available positions include:
- Sous Chef – day-to-day kitchen management and leadership
- Chef de Partie – station specialists responsible for specific sections
- Commis Chef – junior cooks supporting the culinary team
Applicants should have experience in fine dining or fast-paced kitchens and be comfortable working with fresh, local ingredients.

Located in the beautiful village of Rosseau overlooking Lake Rosseau, Crossroads Restaurant offers one of the premier dining experiences in Muskoka and Parry Sound. Owners Chef Richard Lalonde and Julie Lalonde ensure that ingredients are carefully selected from the finest local sources, creating dishes that showcase the region’s best products.

Position Overview
Cooks are responsible for the daily preparation of food items across various kitchen stations including pantry, sauté, grill, or fry. At Crossroads, creativity and a passion for high-quality food are essential. Candidates must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen, maintain a positive attitude, stay informed on current food trends, and take pride in every dish served.
Work, live, and play in beautiful Muskoka and Parry Sound. We guarantee two consecutive days off per week.
Restaurant Hours: Wednesday to Sunday, approximately 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Responsibilities
- Set up stations according to restaurant guidelines
- Prepare food items in a sanitary and timely manner
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards
- Restock ingredients and supplies throughout service
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Assist with cleaning and sanitation of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas
- Properly use and maintain all kitchen equipment
- Complete closing duties and ensure the kitchen is thoroughly cleaned each evening
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef or ownership team
Key Requirements
- Post-secondary diploma in hospitality or culinary arts or currently pursuing one, considered an asset
- Previous prep cook or line cook experience
- Strong understanding of professional cooking techniques and knife skills
- Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Passion for high-quality food and hospitality
Work Eligibility
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application. Crossroads Restaurant is not offering LMIA sponsorship or new work visa sponsorship for this position.
