Full job description

As a proofreader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of written materials. You will collaborate with writers and editors to produce error-free content that effectively communicates the intended message. If you have a passion for language and a meticulous nature, we invite you to apply for this position.

Responsibilities:
- Proofread written materials for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting errors
- Review and edit content to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency
- Verify facts, dates, and sources to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with writers and editors to improve the overall quality of written materials
- Conduct research to gather information for writing projects
- Write and edit content as needed
- Utilize word processing software to format and make changes to documents

Requirements:

- Proven experience in proofreading, copy editing, or a related field
- Strong command of the English language and excellent grammar skills
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for spotting errors
- Proficiency in word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Word)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
