CNC Operator

Porcupine Machining Inc. — Porcupine, ON

Porcupine Machining is a CNC machining and manufacturing shop serving the mining, fabrication, and industrial sectors in Northern Ontario. We're looking for a reliable CNC Operator to run and tend our machines and help keep production moving.

This is a position with room to grow. We're a small team, and the right person will have the chance to take on more responsibility, build new skills, and advance as they prove themselves.

What you'll do

Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes) to spec
Load programs, tools, and material; make offset adjustments as needed
Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to hold tolerances
Read and work from blueprints, drawings, and work orders
Keep your workspace and machines clean and maintained
Flag tooling, quality, or safety issues before they become problems

What we're looking for

Legally eligible to work in Canada (Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or valid open work permit)
Experience operating CNC equipment (or relevant trade schooling)
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
Solid attention to detail and a steady, safety-first work ethic
Comfortable on your feet for a full shift in a shop environment
Reliable, shows up on time, works well in a small team

Nice to have

G-code editing / basic programming
Experience in a mining or heavy-fabrication setting
Forklift or overhead crane experience

Details

Job type: Full-time, permanent
Schedule: Day shift, 8-hour shifts
Location: In person, 641 Falcon St, Porcupine, ON
