About the opportunity:
The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, design, execution and finalizing of projects according to strict deadlines, within budget, and with credible technical solutions within our manufacturing facilities. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
Critical Success Factors:
- Project Planning and Coordination: Lead the development CAPEX project plans (anywhere from small to medium to large scale projects), timelines, and budgets. Coordinate resources and ensure adherence to project milestones and deadlines. Define project scope, targets and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Communicate project expectations/status to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Proactively manage changes within the project scope, identify potential problems, and devise contingency plans.
- Engineering Design and Analysis: Utilize engineering expertise to conceptualize, design, and evaluate manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems. Perform feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making. Ensure all work performed by or on behalf of the company complies with company project management procedures and with all governing practices, codes and regulations.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive engineering documentation, including specifications, drawings, and technical reports. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with project execution. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including production, maintenance, and procurement, to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and alignment. Communicate project updates and provide technical support as needed. Promote excellence in all activities, including the functional groups, to support safe operation, optimal quality, improved reliability and productivity, waste reduction and cost improvement.
- Mentorship and Development: Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to source materials, equipment, and services required for project implementation. Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts to secure the best value for the organization. Work with municipalities to obtain permits where applicable.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to uphold product standards and specifications. Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, productivity, and safety. Identify opportunities for innovation and optimization to drive cost savings and competitive advantage. Maintain awareness of new technologies as they relate to efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and workplace safety and product quality enhancements.

The attributes we are looking for:
· B.Sc. in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Engineering)
· Five or more years’ experience in Engineering within world class company
· Experience within processes, such as CIP systems, pasteurization systems, sterilizers
· Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
· Financial and budgetary skills
· Knowledge of food industry, maintenance instrumentation, PLC and Scada controls
· Good communication, listening, and presenting skills
· Ability to adapt to changing culture/environments
· Ability to negotiate

Compensation:
As part of our commitment to fairness, trust, and transparency and our ambition to be an Employer of Choice, the base salary range for this position is $99 100 – $123 900+.
Please note: Along with a comprehensive Total Rewards package, your actual base salary will be fair, competitive, and be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
Pay: $99,100.00-$123,900.00 per year
