Full job description

Position Type: Seasonal Contract, Part-Time & Full-Time Positions Available
Hours of Work: Variable - Monday through Sunday, days and evenings (closed Tuesdays) – Holidays, as required
Location: Orono, Ontario
Reporting to: Ski Patrol Manager
Start Date: December 2026 (Training begins November 2026)

At Brimacombe ski area we don’t just offer skiing and snowboarding, we offer a place for all ages to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and create memorable family experiences! We are currently seeking outgoing, customer-focused team members to help us turn everyday visits into wonderful winter memories.

As part of our Risk Management team, you will play a key role in defining the customer's experience by providing primary treatment and responding to safety concerns, as well as contributing to the culture of our team.

Key Responsibilities:

Welcoming all guests and sharing your knowledge about the resort
Actively communicate safety rules and etiquette to minimize accidents and ensure a positive guest experience
Providing primary treatment of injuries and illnesses to all patrons and staff
Conduct or assist with investigations for high threshold incidents when required
Ensure high-level customer service, providing accurate and timely assistance to guests
Ensuring safe and efficient patient transport
Monitor trail conditions and mitigate hazards on hill to provide a safe environment for guests and staff
Ensure that all patrol related equipment is properly maintained and ready for use
Deliver support in the prevention/resolution of customer issues
Accurate completion of all required documentation
Ready to take on any challenge or help other team members when needed

Qualifications:

18 years of age or older
Emergency First Responder/Emergency Medical Responder with CPR/AED level HCP certification of higher from a reputable provider (minimum 40 hour course)
Ability to ski or snowboard competently in a variety of conditions (candidates may be required to pass an on-hill assessment)
Applicants must possess their own skis or snowboard
Demonstrated comfort with electronic reporting
Possess excellent critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills
Self-motivated and customer satisfaction-oriented
Willing to work in a variety of weather conditions
Successful applicants 18+ years of age will be required to provide a successful Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, prior to the first day of work

Hiring Timeline:

Job posting will remain open until all positions are filled.
Intermittent paid training will be scheduled prior to first regular shift.
Regular hours will begin December or January, dependent on weather, start up and agreed upon availability of applicant.
