Pipefitters who want steady work, real travel pay, and a $5/hr overtime premium — read this.
Rassaun Services is a family-owned industrial construction contractor that's kept Ontario's plants running for 60 years.
We're hiring pipefitters/welders for our field mechanical crews — process piping, machinery install and repair, in industrial and processing plants around Southwesten Ontario.
What you'll earn (the whole picture, not just base): ≈ $62,000–$100,000/year base (apprentice → foreman, ~40 hr week before overtime) — and the package stacks well beyond that:
- Apprentice / non-C of Q: $30–$35/hr · C of Q pipefitter: $36–$41/hr · mechanical foreman path: up to $48/hr
- + paid travel allowance for out-of-town sites — extra pay on top of your hourly wage (a daily per-diem; works out to roughly +$5/hr on travel days), + a $5/hr premium on every overtime hour (on top of overtime pay), + RRSP (50% match), + profit sharing
- Add it up: a certified pipefitter clears $45+/hr, and foremen run ~$59/hr all-in (about $122,000/year)
Your schedule: Day shift, ~7am–3pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime available. Most work is in Norfolk/Haldimand/Brantford/Hamilton/Niagara; travel with the crew to other sites within 0.5 - 2 hrs of Simcoe.
What you'll do:
- Lay out, cut, fit, and install process and machinery piping from blueprints
- Weld and fit joints (TIG/SMAW); assist welders and millwrights as needed
- Install and repair machinery and equipment in plant environments
- Test and inspect installed systems; work safely to spec on every job
What you bring:
- Steamfitter/pipefitter trade certification or a 2nd/3rd-year apprentice
- TIG (TSSA) and/or SMAW (TSSA) experience an asset
- Able to read blueprints and travel to regional job sites
- Own basic hand tools; legally able to work in Canada
