Full job description

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Estimator to join a growing construction and project services business in the Toronto/GTA market.

This is a remote, sales-based role with regular in-person site visits. The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with clients, visiting project sites, taking measurements, gathering project details, using a pricing grid, and preparing accurate estimates.

This role is best suited for someone who is organized, responsive, comfortable with sales follow-up, and able to build trust with clients while also paying close attention to project details.

Responsibilities

Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Speak with prospective clients to understand project needs, timelines, and budgets
Qualify opportunities and determine whether a site visit is appropriate
Schedule and complete in-person site visits across Toronto and the GTA
Take accurate measurements using a measuring tape
Photograph and document site conditions, access points, and relevant project details
Prepare estimates using a company-provided pricing grid
Clearly explain estimates, assumptions, timelines, and next steps to clients
Follow up with open estimates and prospective clients
Keep accurate records of client conversations, site notes, measurements, and quote status
Coordinate with management, project teams, and subcontractors when needed
Help move qualified opportunities from inquiry to approved project

Requirements

Must be located in Toronto or the GTA
Must be willing and able to attend in-person site visits
Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation
Comfortable working remotely and managing your own schedule
Strong communication and follow-up skills
Comfortable speaking with clients by phone, email, and text
Able to use a measuring tape accurately
Able to follow a pricing grid and structured estimating process
Strong attention to detail
Organized, reliable, and self-motivated
Comfortable discussing project budgets, scope, timelines, and next steps
Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and digital records

Preferred Experience

Sales experience in construction, renovation, home services, building materials, landscaping, roofing, fencing, decks, garages, windows/doors, property services, or a related field
Experience preparing estimates or quotes
Familiarity with construction terminology and basic site conditions
Comfortable identifying obvious project constraints, access issues, or scope questions
Experience working independently in a remote or field-based role

Compensation

Compensation will include base pay plus performance-based incentives tied to completed estimates, approved projects, collected deposits, or closed sales. Final structure will depend on experience and availability.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is part salesperson, part project intake coordinator, and part practical estimator. You do not need to be a licensed contractor, but you should be comfortable visiting sites, measuring accurately, following a pricing system, asking good questions, and helping clients feel confident about next steps.

This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys sales but also wants a more hands-on, practical role in the construction/project services space.

Pay: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
