The Contract Tree Planter is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks consisting of primarily physical labour to assist the Crew Lead in completing large scale planting (trees and shrubs), ecological restoration and habitat creation projects. Contract Tree Planters may also be required to assist with the maintenance and operation of our native plant nursery and assist our residential landscape construction crew(s).

In addition, you must also possess the following:
- Ability to report directly to job sites in various locations, and/or carpool from our shop located in Ayr, Ontario
- Come prepared for work each day: appropriate safety and workwear (ie. steel toed work boots/shoes, hi-visibility uniform, hard hat, rain gear, sun protection), and sufficient food and water for the workday
- Learn and practice using the required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
- Ability to work with hand tools and materials
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with varied work hours (approximately 10 hours per day)and occasional weekend work
- Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
