Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate veterinary team. In this role, you will support veterinarians and veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to animals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, caring, and eager to learn, with a strong interest in animal health and well-being. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting and contribute to the health of pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

Cleaning and organization of the clinic
Assist veterinarians and technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries
Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment to maintain a clean and safe environment
Restrain animals safely during procedures to ensure their comfort and safety
Collect samples such as urine, or feces for laboratory testing
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments, medications, and procedures
Support client communication by providing information about animal care and post-treatment instructions
Monitor animals during recovery periods and report any concerns to the veterinary team

Skills

Prior veterinary clinic experience is highly desirable.
Keen love of cleaning and organization
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members
Compassionate attitude with a genuine love for animals and their well-being
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and maintain meticulous records
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a clinical setting

This role is vital in supporting the overall health care provided to animals while fostering a caring environment for clients. We value team players who are committed to animal welfare and eager to grow professionally within the veterinary field.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
