Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, ensure food safety standards are met, and support the kitchen staff in delivering high-quality meals. This role is vital to maintaining efficient kitchen operations and providing excellent service to our guests.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and standards
Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstations
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Support cooking processes by assisting chefs with meal assembly and plating
Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations
Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Assist with dishwashing and cleaning responsibilities to uphold hygiene standards

Qualifications

Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety standards
Excellent teamwork skills and a positive attitude toward learning new skills
Knowledge of the food industry or restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory
