Family Physician / General Practitioner (NOC 31102) – 5 Positions Full Time, Permanent
Openfield Medical Centre
770 Broadview Avenue, Ottawa, ON K2A 3Z3

Openfield Medical Centre is seeking 5 Family Physicians / General Practitioners to provide comprehensive, longitudinal primary care in a community family medicine clinic in Ottawa.

Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start date: As soon as possible
Work location: On site at 770 Broadview Avenue, Ottawa, ON K2A 3Z3
Language of work: English
Compensation: Fee-for-service; expected annual gross earnings of $233,752 to $451,418 based on OHIP and applicable schedules; actual earnings vary with patient volume and scope of practice
Benefits / practice supports: Medical Office Assistant and administrative support, EMR onboarding and clinic workflow support, flexible scheduling, and on-site parking

Duties

Conduct patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions and injuries
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, including imaging
Prescribe medications and counsel patients on treatment plans, prevention, and follow-up
Provide preventive care, screening, immunizations, and chronic disease management
Perform minor office procedures within scope and competence
Coordinate referrals and continuity of care with specialists, hospitals, and community services
Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in the clinic EMR
Participate in clinic quality improvement and practice initiatives, as required

Requirements

MD degree or equivalent
Licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), or eligible for CPSO licensure by start date
Eligible for professional liability protection (CMPA or equivalent)
Eligible to bill OHIP and participate in Ontario physician payment models, as applicable
CCFP preferred
Family medicine or primary care experience is an asset
Canadian experience is not required
