Full job description

Team Lead Production

We are seeking a dynamic, hands-on Production Team Lead to oversee our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will lead a dedicated team of assemblers, welders, and fabricators to ensure our high-quality seating and staging products are built safely, efficiently, and to exact specifications. As a Team Lead, you will balance floor supervision with technical execution, driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of collaboration.

What you will be doing as a Team Lead Production:

· Lead, mentor, and cross-train a production team. Enforce all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace (5S).

· Monitor daily production targets to ensure projects (from heavy-duty outdoor bleachers to intricate retractable stages) are completed on time.

· Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all finished products meet Sheridan Seating’s rigorous standards and engineering blueprints.

· Identify bottlenecks in the manufacturing process and implement lean manufacturing techniques to improve throughput and reduce waste.

· Oversee the proper use and routine maintenance of fabrication machinery and tools.

· Communicate regularly with Engineering, Inventory, and Project Management teams to resolve material shortages or design discrepancies.

What you should have as a Team Lead Production:

· Experience 3–5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a structural steel, custom fabrication, or heavy manufacturing environment.

· Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical drawings.

· Experience with large-scale mechanical assemblies, welding processes, or moving/telescopic structures is highly preferred.

· Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.

· Ability to stand for extended periods, walk the production floor, and lift up to 50 lbs as required.
