Overview

Join our dynamic retail team as a Retail Sales Associate and become the friendly face that helps customers find exactly what they need! In this energetic role, you will engage with diverse shoppers, provide expert advice on renovation, construction, home improvement and maintenance products, and ensure an exceptional shopping experience. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will drive sales, foster customer loyalty, and contribute to a vibrant store environment. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your retail expertise while sharing your passion for construction and renovation.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them
Provide detailed product information on construction, renovation and maintenance, and e-commerce options to help customers make informed decisions
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for cash handling, transactions, and receipts
Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising techniques to boost sales and store appeal
Handle cashiering duties efficiently, including processing payments in multiple currencies if applicable and managing cash registers
Offer exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries in multiple languages if possible, ensuring all shoppers feel valued and understood

Skills

Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth transactions
Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
Experience with merchandising strategies to create appealing displays that enhance product visibility
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms to assist customers with online orders or product information online
Outstanding organizational skills to manage inventory levels and maintain tidy store environments
Ability to deliver exceptional customer service by actively listening and responding effectively to customer needs
