Experienced Seamstress / Bridal Alterations Specialist

Location: Ottawa, ON
Job Type: Seasonal (April to October, 1 to 5 days per week, flexible)
Pay: Competitive hourly wage based on experience

EleBridal is a growing luxury bridal boutique specializing in custom bridal accessories, wedding gown alterations, couture veils, and exceptional customer service. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented seamstress who takes pride in creating beautiful, high-quality work and enjoys helping brides look and feel their best on one of the most important days of their lives.

If you have experience working with bridal gowns, formalwear, or high-end garments and enjoy precision sewing in a positive, creative environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Perform bridal gown alterations, including hemming, taking in and letting out seams, bustle creation, sleeve adjustments, and custom fitting.
Alter bridesmaid dresses, evening gowns, and formalwear.
Work with delicate fabrics such as lace, tulle, chiffon, satin, silk, and beaded materials.
Assist during bridal fitting appointments as needed.
Ensure garments are finished to the highest quality standards.
Complete alterations within scheduled deadlines.
Maintain an organized, clean, and professional workspace.
Collaborate with our team to provide an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of professional sewing or alterations experience (bridal experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of garment construction and fitting techniques.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Experience working with delicate fabrics and intricate embellishments.
Reliable, punctual, and organized.
Friendly and professional with excellent customer service skills.
