Through individualized programming, community integration, volunteer opportunities, recreation, and skill development, we support adults in achieving their personal goals and reaching their full potential.
We are seeking an experienced, collaborative, and visionary Director of Branches to provide strategic leadership for our Adult Day Program, satellite programs, after-hours programming, supported employment and work experience initiatives, and future program development.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, this senior leadership position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of our community-based services while leading a dedicated team committed to excellence, innovation, quality, and person-directed supports.
About the Role
As the Director of Branches, you will provide strategic, operational, financial, and quality leadership for multiple community-based programs. You will be responsible for ensuring services are delivered safely, ethically, efficiently, and in compliance with provincial legislation, Ministry requirements, and organizational standards.
Working collaboratively with the Executive Director and leadership team, you will oversee the continued development and growth of innovative programming that promotes independence, community inclusion, supported employment, meaningful participation, and exceptional outcomes for the individuals we support. You will foster a culture of accountability, continuous quality improvement, collaboration, and employee development while ensuring programs remain responsive to the evolving needs of participants, families, and the community.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for all Branches programs.
- Provide leadership and oversight to Program Coordinators and management staff through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and professional development.
- Ensure compliance with the Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act (SIPDDA), Ontario Regulation 299/10 (Quality Assurance Measures), MCCSS requirements, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), Employment Standards Act (ESA), PHIPA (where applicable), and all other applicable legislation.
- Oversee Quality Assurance Measures (QAM), Serious Occurrence Reporting, Ministry inspections, audits, licensing reviews, and corrective action plans.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate strategic and operational plans that align with organizational priorities and Ministry expectations.
- Monitor program quality, participant outcomes, operational performance, key performance indicators, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor departmental operating budgets while ensuring responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
- Build and maintain collaborative relationships with individuals supported, families, community partners, employers, educational institutions, funding agencies, healthcare professionals, and government representatives.
- Promote innovation, community inclusion, supported employment, volunteer opportunities, and meaningful participation for individuals receiving services.
- Lead the ongoing growth and expansion of Adult Day Services by identifying emerging community needs, developing new programming opportunities, and strengthening partnerships throughout the region.
- Participate in the agency's management on-call rotation and provide leadership during emergencies, Serious Occurrences, and critical incidents.
- Participate as an active member of the senior leadership team, contributing to organizational planning, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioural Sciences, Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and significant leadership experience will be considered.
- A minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership experience within developmental services or a related human services sector.
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple community-based programs.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario developmental services legislation, MCCSS requirements, Quality Assurance Measures (QAM), Serious Occurrence Reporting, and person-directed service delivery.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, quality improvement, risk management, and organizational leadership.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, relationship-building, organizational, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of person-centred planning, community inclusion, and adult developmental services.
- A valid Ontario Driver's Licence with access to a reliable vehicle and the ability to travel between program locations.
- Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check.
