The Opportunity

The Psychiatrist will provide assessment, consultation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients experiencing a range of psychiatric and mental health concerns.

Responsibilities may include:

Comprehensive psychiatric assessments and treatment planning
Consultation and collaborative care with referring providers
Medication management and psychotherapeutic interventions, as appropriate
Participation in interdisciplinary case discussions and shared-care planning where appropriate
Supporting quality initiatives and program development

Practice focus and patient population may be tailored to align with the successful candidate’s interests and expertise.

Qualifications

Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
Certification in Psychiatry through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada
Experience in outpatient psychiatry and collaborative care settings preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with EMR systems and virtual care platforms
Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset
