Location: Ottawa, ON
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 (Flexibility for weekeds)
Pay: $19.00–$20.00 per hour

Job Description

Work for the largest importer and distributor of fresh-cut flowers, proudly serving customers across the country. We're looking for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Lead to join our operations team. If you're organized, enjoy leading people, and thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities.
Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and quality.
Prepare and review shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading and purchase orders.
Scan and track inventory using warehouse systems.
Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and audits.
Coordinate the movement of products between receiving, storage, and production.
Lead, support, and train the shipping, receiving, and picking team.
Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure operational goals are met.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and cooler environment.
Collaborate with production, logistics, and transportation teams.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Perform other warehouse-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
Experience leading or supervising warehouse employees.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting software is an asset.
Forklift certification is considered an asset.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Comfortable working in a refrigerated environment (35–40°F / 2–4°C).
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required.
