Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Baker. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic food environment, focusing on creating beautiful and delicious baked goods while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in baking, cake decorating, and food preparation, with a strong emphasis on food safety and quality standards. This position is perfect for someone eager to develop their culinary skills and contribute to a vibrant bakery or restaurant setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread, ensuring high-quality standards.
Decorate cakes and desserts with creative designs, utilizing cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications.
Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients efficiently and accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety protocols.
Package baked goods for retail sale or catering orders with attention to presentation and freshness.
Assist customers with product selections, answer questions about ingredients or dietary considerations, and provide exceptional customer service.
Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
Support team members in daily operations, including restocking supplies and maintaining inventory.

Requirements

Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a restaurant or bakery environment.
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
Strong skills in food industry practices including kitchen experience, food handling, and packaging.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience with food industry equipment such as mixers, ovens, and decorating tools is preferred.
Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends if necessary; however, the position primarily involves daytime hours.
