Social Restaurant & Lounge | Ottawa, ON

Social Restaurant & Lounge is seeking passionate, hospitality-driven professionals to join our service team in both full-time and part-time server positions.

Located in the heart of Ottawa’s ByWard Market, Social is known for its vibrant atmosphere, elevated dining experience, award-winning cocktail program, and exceptional hospitality. We are looking for individuals who take pride in creating memorable guest experiences and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

2+ years of serving experience in an upscale casual, fine dining, or high-volume restaurant
Open availability including days, nights & weekends
A genuine passion for food, wine, cocktails, and hospitality
Strong knowledge of food and beverage service techniques
Working knowledge of wine styles, varietals, regions, and pairings
Excellent communication and guest engagement skills
The ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to service excellence
A positive attitude and willingness to support teammates
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional, professional guest service from start to finish
Guide guests through menus and provide knowledgeable food, wine, and beverage recommendations
Execute service according to established standards and procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient section
Handle guest requests and concerns with professionalism and care
Collaborate with management, kitchen, and bar teams to ensure seamless service
Accurately enter orders and process payments
Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol service standards

Qualifications

Valid Smart Serve Certification
Food Handler Certification considered an asset
Strong understanding of safe food handling and sanitation practices
Wine knowledge and a desire to continue learning
Experience with POS systems
Ability to stand and move throughout a full shift
