Full job description

Position : Flat Roofer – Commercial Roofing
Location : Ottawa, ON
Pay: $33–$50 per hour, based on experience and skill level

We are looking for experienced Flat Roofers in Ottawa. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial roofing experience, particularly with modified bitumen (mod-bit) roofing systems, and be comfortable working efficiently on commercial job sites.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of experience installing modified bitumen (mod-bit) roofing products.
Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems.
Experience installing roof insulation and protection board.
Experience installing commercial metal flashings, including parapet caps.
Ability to work safely and efficiently on commercial roofing projects.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

Install and repair modified bitumen roofing systems.
Install insulation, protection board, and related roofing materials.
Install and secure commercial metal flashings and parapet caps.
Prepare roofing surfaces and job sites for installation.
Measure and cut roofing materials accurately.
Follow project specifications and safety procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Work with the roofing team to complete projects on schedule.
Perform other roofing-related duties as required.

Compensation

Our pay rates are based on experience:

Experienced Labourer: $25–$33/hour
Shingler: $33–$45/hour
Commercial Roofer/Foreman: $33–$50/hour

For this Flat Roofer position, the expected pay range is $33–$50/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $33.00-$50.00 per hour

Work Location: On the road
