Duties:

Provide timely psychological evaluations for court‑ordered psychiatric assessments for individuals with severe mental illness involved in the legal system.

Deliver evidence‑based psychological assessment and treatment (individual and group) for adults in Forensic Psychiatry, incorporating goal‑oriented modalities such as CBT and DBT.

Contribute to the development, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the Forensic Psychiatry Program, including program‑aligned research activities.

Offer individual and team case consultation and collaborate effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.

Participate in academic activities, including supervision of practicum students, residents, and supervised practice staff, and provide professional consultation as required.

Demonstrate leadership, professionalism, and adherence to ethical, regulatory, and organizational standards in all clinical and documentation practices.

Qualifications:

Doctorate from a CPA/APA Accredited Clinical Psychology Program

Registration or Eligible for Registration with the College of Psychologists and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario is mandatory.

2 - 3 years experience post PhD in clinical mental health is an asset.

Mandatory Authorized areas of practice in Clinical Psychology and Forensic Psychology.

Authorized client population with Adults is mandatory.

Demonstrated knowledge of and competency with integration of psychiatric rehabilitation principles and practices of recovery into program design, evaluation and delivery.

Demonstrated competency in delivering evidence based treatment in both individual and group formats.

Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting and to communicate and collaborate in an inter-professional team context are essential.

Maintain work load measurement and data collection as required and input into the workload measurement system on a regular basis.

English level A- is mandatory in oral comprehension, expression, reading, and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.
Salary Range:
61.50 to 79.75 (Psychologists under supervised practice = 95% of scale) per hour
