Overview
We are seeking a motivated Roofer Helper to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in roofing and general construction. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, dependable, and physically capable of supporting roofing projects in a fast-paced environment. No prior roofing experience is necessary, but familiarity with construction tools and basic carpentry will be advantageous.
Duties
- Assist roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on residential and commercial buildings
- Carry and set up hand tools, materials, and equipment needed for roofing projects
- Support the team in heavy lifting of shingles, plywood, and other roofing materials
- Prepare work sites by cleaning and organizing materials and debris
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and caulking guns to assist with various tasks
- Read and interpret basic blueprints or project plans to ensure proper installation procedures
- Apply caulking or sealants as needed to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe work environment
Requirements
- Prior experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, or handyman work is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading is a plus
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn new skills on the job
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Reliable transportation to job sites; valid driver’s license is beneficial but not mandatory
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

Pay: $20.89-$42.28 per hour
