Job Title: Building Superintendant
Company: Canada Maintenance Inc.
Location: Ottawa, Ontario
Salary: $21 per hour

Job Description:
Canada Maintenance is seeking a dedicated and experienced Building Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for providing high-quality cleaning services.

Responsibilities:

Perform regular inspections of the building's facilities to identify and address maintenance needs.
Work with janitor to ensure all cleaning tasks complete to specification.
Handle emergency repair requests and coordinate timely resolution.
Supervise cleaning staff and ensure the building is kept clean and safe.
Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
Maintain records related to maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections.
Coordinate with property managers to address tenant issues and concerns.
Oversee heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), swimming pool systems and ensure they are functioning properly.
Monitor and maintain plumbing, electrical, and other essential building systems.
Respond to tenant inquiries and resolve any complaints promptly.
Oversee security measures and ensure the building is secure at all times.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in superintendant services.
Strong organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle emergencies effectively.
Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
Excellent communication skills to interact with tenants and vendors.
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Technical skills in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems maintenance.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Basic computer skills for maintaining records and communicating via email.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
