Job Overview

Creighton Rock Drill Ltd. is looking for a motivated individual to join our Ottawa-area team in a dual role as a Driver and Junior Sales Representative.

The successful candidate will make deliveries and support the company’s daily driving requirements while learning the sales side of the business from our experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, being on the road, and developing a career in industrial sales.

Hands-on training, product knowledge, mentorship, and ongoing guidance will be provided.

Creighton Rock Drill Ltd. is a privately owned company that distributes high-quality, leading-edge products to the aggregate, attachments, construction, drilling solutions, mining, hardware, fluids, road maintenance, and ground-engaging markets.

Driver Responsibilities

Safely pick up and deliver products, equipment, and materials to customers and company locations.
Load, secure, transport, and unload products safely and carefully.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes.
Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
Obtain required signatures and maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
Conduct routine inspections of the company vehicle and immediately report any maintenance or safety concerns.
Keep the company vehicle clean, organized, and in good operating condition.
Follow all traffic laws, safety requirements, and company policies.
Provide professional and courteous customer service during pickups and deliveries.

Junior Sales Responsibilities

Learn about the company’s products, services, customers, and industries with support from our experienced sales team.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Identify prospective customers and sales opportunities while travelling throughout the assigned territory.
Visit customer locations to understand their operational needs and recommend suitable products and solutions.
Assist with generating new business and expanding the company’s presence throughout the Ottawa area.
Follow up on customer inquiries, leads, quotations, and sales opportunities.
Share customer feedback, competitive information, market opportunities, and industry trends with the Branch Manager and Head Office.
Respond to customer questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
Network within the industry to strengthen the company’s presence and reputation.
Maintain high ethical standards and comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

Previous experience in driving, deliveries, sales, customer service, or business development is considered an asset.
Experience in the construction, aggregate, drilling, mining, heavy equipment, or industrial supply industry is considered an asset but is not required.
A strong interest in developing a career in industrial sales.
Willingness and ability to learn from experienced sales professionals.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
The ability to communicate in French is considered a strong asset.
Self-motivated, dependable, results-driven, and customer-focused.
Ability to develop professional relationships and work effectively as part of a team.
Strong time-management skills and the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
Must meet the eligibility requirements of the company’s automobile insurance provider, including the minimum age requirement of 25.
Must possess a valid driver’s licence and provide a clean driver’s abstract that meets the requirements of the company’s automobile insurance provider.
Must be comfortable driving regularly and travelling throughout the assigned territory.
