Full job description

We are a medium sized law office looking to hire a law clerk or paralegal with 4-5 years experience in either corporate /business law, wills and estates or family/civil litigation . Additional experience in real estate law is an asset. The position is for a one year contract to cover a maternity leave. Option for a permanent position after the one year is completed. Starting date would be October 15, 2026 and end date October 15, 2027.

We operate West of Ottawa in a small, but fast growing community with lots of opportunity for growth. We offer two offices for client and staff convenience: Carleton Place and Kanata. Compensation is commensurate with experience and competitive. We offer a small, collegial environment in which staff and lawyers work well together and support one another in each individual person's goals as well as promoting work life balance.

The work is primarily in office with flexibility for days when working from home is appropriate if the candidate can meet deadlines/workflow as applicable . We are proud to synthesize work product and enjoy each other's company and mentorship
