Contract Advertising Sales Representative (Commission-Based)

Territory: Southern Georgian Bay, Huron Area & Grey-Bruce Region.

Hybrid Position | Flexible Hours

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Contract Advertising Sales Representative to join our team. This role is focused on selling advertising space for a well-established free community magazine serving businesses and consumers throughout the Southern Georgian Bay, Huron, and Grey-Bruce regions.

As our publication is distributed free of charge to readers, advertising sales are the foundation of our business. This position offers the opportunity to build and manage your own territory while developing long-term relationships with local business owners and advertisers.

Responsibilities

Prospect and develop new advertising accounts within the assigned territory.
Meet with business owners and decision-makers to present advertising opportunities.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and in-person visits.
Manage ongoing advertiser accounts and renewals.
Identify opportunities to grow advertising revenue within existing accounts.
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
Work closely with the Publisher to achieve territory goals and objectives.

Qualifications

Required:

Previous sales experience.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your schedule.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for client visits.
Comfortable using computers and standard business software.

Assets:

Experience in advertising, media, marketing, or publication sales.
Knowledge of the Southern Georgian Bay, Huron, and Grey-Bruce business communities.
Existing network of local business contacts.
