Full job description

Shift: Monday through Friday 6:45AM to 2:45PM

Pay: $25.13 to start then $27.02 after 90-day probationary period

Position Summary

The Seasonal Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating basic powered material handling equipment-excluding Order Picker, Turret, and Drexel-for the receipt, storage, and fulfillment of product. This role ensures product safety, quality, legality, and integrity while supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Primary Responsibilities

Perform full-case order picking for replenishment, customer orders, and packaging components.
Retrieve and put away pallets in narrow aisle bulk rack storage systems.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure transaction accuracy.
Load and unload pallets and cases from trucks and conveyor lines using equipment or manual handling.
Sort and build product pallets to meet customer specifications.
Apply shrink wrap to pallets using machinery.
Complete pre- and post-equipment checklists to ensure safe operation.
Maintain accurate storage locations through daily cycle counts and inventory tasks.
Perform other distribution functions as needed based on business volume and operational needs.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to operate basic powered material handling equipment (e.g., electric pallet jack, forklift).

Skills and Competencies

- Must meet all PPE and fall protection requirements.
- Ability to work on equipment at extended heights.
- Strong sense of urgency and flexibility in meeting deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer service oriented and strong team player.

If the incumbent resides in the province of Quebec, Functional French (written and spoken) is required.
