Full job description

Working closely with the President, this role is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization's growth.

Main Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements ensuring accurate reporting, compliant with regulatory standards.
Implement and maintain financial controls (including internal policies and procedures) to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
Oversee the payroll and compliance with labour regulatory requirements.
Implement and optimize accounting software systems.

Key Knowledge and Skills:

Proven experience as a Controller or similar senior accounting role. (10+ year’s experience in accounting and finance and an accounting designation - CA, CPA, CGA)
Experience in account analysis, account reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounts payable processes, budgeting and financial forecasting.
Strong proficiency with accounting software.
Proficiency in payroll management and related tax regulations.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing finance teams.
Effective communication skills.

Pay: $90,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
