Full job description

We are seeking an individual for our Meat Department that will be an asset to our team! We believe great people model our values, are authentic, build trust and make connections. Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide excellent customer service.
Weigh, wrap and affix price labels to products.
Advise customers regarding the content and types of products available.
Replenish supplies and rotate products in the display counter.
Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas such as refrigerators and freezers.
Replenishes stock on the floor displays.
Retrieve wrapped packages of meat from receiving area
Participate in physical inventory counts for product management
Process customer meat orders
Clean floors, counters, work tables, trays and equipment.
Maintain a safe and clean work area.
Comply with store policies and procedures.
Perform other tasks as required by management to meet business needs.

Skills & Knowledge

Good communication skills and ability to read and write in English.
Customer service oriented and able to make good decisions.
Able to work under minimal supervision and have attention to detail.
Able to work in fast-paced environment.
Experience working in meat industry and/or a grocery store environment are considered assets.

Working Conditions

Must be available to work 2 to 3 shifts per week, with weekday and weekend availability. Earliest start time is 6am and latest end time is 8pm.
Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
Able to bend, squat and lift occasionally.
Ability to lift up to approximately 23kg/50lbs.
Will be exposed to limited cold temperatures from freezer/cooler area
