Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Landscaping Lead Hand / Crew Foreman to oversee and coordinate landscaping projects. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical knowledge in landscape maintenance, and the ability to supervise a team effectively. The ideal candidate will have a background in horticulture, gardening, irrigation, and construction, with proven supervisory experience. As a key member of our team, you will ensure high-quality work, safety compliance, and efficient project completion while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise landscaping crews to complete projects on time and within scope
Coordinate daily tasks such as planting, pruning, lawn care, irrigation installation, and general garden maintenance
Oversee the operation of landscape equipment and ensure proper use and safety procedures are followed
Assist with the installation of irrigation systems and other landscape features
Monitor project progress and communicate updates to clients and management
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations
Provide mentorship and training to crew members to improve skills and productivity
Manage material inventory and order supplies as needed
Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets company standards

Qualifications

Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, horticulture, or related fields
Supervising or leadership experience in a landscaping or construction environment
Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape installation, and general horticultural practices
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining safety standards
Construction experience is a plus
Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation between job sites
