Are you a highly organized individual with strong administrative, collaboration and planning skills? If so, consider the position of Business Coordinator at the Ministry of Natural Resources.

About the job

You will:

coordinate and provide high level business and operational planning and administration services
lead and manage the delivery of major business functions and processes, including financial, infrastructure management, procurement and emergency management and safety
serve as a technical resource and provide advice and direction on business processes, administrative policies, procedures and best practices
facilitate information flow, issues management and the tracking/release of materials

What you bring to the team

Organizational and analytical skills

You can:

track and coordinate a wide variety of activities with changing priorities
manage conflicting demands and meet deadlines in a high pressure environment
provide advice and analysis, assist managers with operational plans, budget requirements, accommodation and fleet management needs
carry out research activities, identify and evaluate emerging trends, and recognize potential impacts

Administrative expertise

You have:

knowledge of business planning, policy approval and issues management processes
knowledge of resource management and resource operation programs
knowledge of administrative policies, procedures and best practices to manage the district's fleet inventory, accommodations, facilities and procurement requirements
the ability to interpret and apply policies and legislation

Project management and leadership skills

You have:

project management skills and coordinating abilities to achieve results and lead the implementation of new initiatives
group leadership and influencing skills and can provide direction, advice, gain support and secure the cooperation of management and staff

Communication and interpersonal skills

You can:

provide advice/recommendations on policies and best practices to brief management as required
can build productive working relationships within staff and tactfully resolve issues
prepare reports, briefing notes and responses to issues and information requests
