Pride Marine Group is currently seeking an experienced Marine Technician to join our Eganville Crew!

What You Bring to the Role

Exceptional diagnostic skills, both mechanical & electrical
Ability to work independently when required

Ability to mentor Apprentice Marine Technicians

What You’ll Do

Actively contribute to a positive team culture and work cohesively across all departments to achieve shared goals
Inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair different types of boats
Complete pre-delivery and final delivery inspections
Test and repair inboard and outboard engines, hulls, propellers, navigational systems, electrical systems, steering gears, and boat accessories using various diagnostic equipment
Work with the CSR’s to provide proper diagnostic information, photos, videos and labour quotes
Complete all internal documentation for evaluations and warranty work
Monitor workflow to determine if scheduled time will be met or if an adjustment is needed to stay in budget
Work closely with parts to obtain requirements needed to complete the job (both in stock and ordered parts)
Maintain up to date knowledge on new and emerging technologies in marine service
Earn and maintain training and certifications for company brands
Work closely with Location Manager to create a personalized training plan
Provide hands on training and support to Apprentice Marine Technicians
Support yard crew, detailers and other crew as needed
All other duties as assigned

What We’d Like From You

3+ years experience in the Marine industry or related experience required
Marine Technician or automotive diploma considered an asset
Able to work irregular hours during peak periods including weekends
Ability to lift, push, kneel and reach, including in high locations
Ability to work on and off site as required
Able to work in variable weather conditions
Valid Drivers License required
Pleasure Craft Operator Card required
