CBI Home Health is looking to hire Occupational Therapy / Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA) in in the Renfrew

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $22.77 - $25.88 per visit

What you will need to be successful

You possess a post-secondary diploma as an Occupational Therapy/ Physiotherapy Assistant (OTA/PTA)
Valid Driver's License, Vehicle Insurance, and reliable vehicle is required
You have a general knowledge of mobility aids and assistive equipment
Your focus is to embrace and support person and family-centered care
You are passionate, empathetic, use good judgement and apply critical thinking when making decisions
You are known for your excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary team as well as work independently
You value the role a therapist plays in keeping clients at home when that is of personal importance

What's the role:

Prepare clients for treatment and progress clients through treatment programs
Assist with and/or teach client therapy programs and training activities of daily living, including the use of assistive equipment and balance training
Assist in the use of therapeutic equipment including set up, take down, and cleaning/disinfecting. Ensure equipment is in good working order
Apply modalities, including but not limited to heat, ice, ultrasound, IFC, EMS, TENS, and Low Intensity
Responsible for writing clear professional, objective and accurate documentation in client communication records
