Overview

Join our dynamic horticultural team as a Greenhouse Worker and become a vital part of cultivating vibrant, healthy plants in a fast-paced greenhouse environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with a variety of plants. You'll be instrumental in maintaining optimal conditions, ensuring plant health, and contributing to the success of our horticultural projects. If you’re passionate about gardening, eager to learn, and ready to roll up your sleeves, this position is perfect for you!

Responsibilities

Assist with the daily care and maintenance of greenhouse plants, including watering, pruning, sticking cuttings, seeding and transplanting.
Operate irrigation systems efficiently to ensure proper watering schedules and plant hydration.
Use hand tools such as pruners to support plant health and growth.
Perform heavy lifting tasks involving bags of soil, pots, or plant trays to support planting and transplanting activities.
Maintain cleanliness and organization within the greenhouse to promote healthy growth environments.

Qualifications

Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Basic math skills.
Enthusiasm for working in controlled indoor environments dedicated to plant growth.
Work experience in a greenhouse environment and horticultural education is beneficial but not required. Training will be provided.
