Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Rehabilitation Assistant to join our rehab team. This role involves supporting physical therapists, occupational therapist , speech therapist and other healthcare professionals in delivering patient-centered rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in patient care, with experience or knowledge in community care and pediatrics, and familiarity with medical terminology. This position offers an opportunity to develop clinical skills in a dynamic healthcare environment, contributing to patients’ recovery and improved quality of life.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed therapists with implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Support patients during therapy sessions by providing encouragement and ensuring safety.
Prepare treatment areas and equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
Monitor patient progress and report observations to supervising clinicians.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and therapy activities.
Help with patient mobility, transfers, and exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
Adhere to infection control protocols and safety procedures at all times.

Skills

Knowledge of acute care settings and pediatric patient needs is highly desirable.
Familiarity with medical terminology to accurately document and communicate patient information.
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively support patients of diverse backgrounds.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and equipment management.
Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and rehabilitation, seeking hands-on experience in a supportive clinical environment.
